What you need

  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
  • A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor.
  • An internet connection. blabe sends your audio to be transcribed, so it doesn’t work offline.
  • No provider account or API key. Transcription is included.

Try everything free for 2 days, with no card, no email and no signup. When the trial ends, new dictation stops until you subscribe.

What happens after you download

  1. Drag blabe to Applications and open it. Set up blabe
  2. Allow Microphone, Input Monitoring and Accessibility. Permissions
  3. If you use Fn, set the 🌐 key to Do Nothing. Hotkey
  4. If you’ve subscribed, sign in with the license key from your purchase in the welcome window or Settings → Account. The free trial needs no sign-in, email or signup. License
  5. Hold your hotkey (Fn unless you chose another), speak, and let go.
